DELOS International Summer School on
Digital Preservation in Digital Libraries

Pisa (Italy), 3-8 June 2007

CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

School Website: http://www.dpc.delos.info/ss07/

The third DELOS Network of Excellence summer school programme on 'Digital Preservation in Digital Libraries: Realising Possibilities'. The DELOS Network of Excellence is a four-year project funded by the European Commission under the Sixth Framework Programme to synergize and foster technology for the next-generation of Digital Libraries.

Participation in the School assists attendees in understanding how to address digital preservation challenges within the context of the digital library. In addition, the School provides a networking opportunity by creating the opportunity to meet with other researchers, international experts, and practitioners across disciplinary and national boundaries.

The school will take place at Santa Croce in Fossabanda (Pisa, Italy) during the week beginning 3 June 2007. We hope that the audience will be young researchers and professionals with an interest in the topic. Internationally established lecturers will each lead one half-day session and most will be available through the week for further discussion.

The DELOS summer school is supported by the UK Digital Curation Centre (http://www.dcc.ac.uk) (DCC), and Digital Preservation Europe (DPE).

Program

This one-week intensive school will consist of nine half-day sessions. Established lecturers will each lead a session and most of them will be available through the week for further discussion.
