Semantic Interoperability for e-Research in the Sciences, Arts and Humanities The event took place at Imperial College London 30 March, 2006. It was organized by Dolores Iorizzo from Imperial College as an initiative of the Department of Computing of Imperial College, the CIDOC CRM Special Interest Group and DELOS NoE. The workshop, attended by a large audience, focused on the problems of semantic interoperability for e-Research in the Sciences, Arts and Humanities, knowledge management and the role of generic and domain specific ontologies. Presentations from Information Technology and Sciences suggested the feasibility of implementing intellectually demanding, domain- overarching information integration and that the CIDOC CRM appears to have a potential to evolve into a wider information model comprising not only archives, libraries and museums, but also scientific records. Presentations and a summary of the discussion will soon be published on the Web. The next CRM Workshop will take place in October, 23-24, in Crete, Greece.
