DELOS ManagementThe network management is designed to ensure a coherent scientific, administrative and financial coordination of DELOS, while providing the participants with the support and tools required for the achievement of the network’s objectives. In particular, the management will: - Establish a reliable overall organisation supporting the completion of the networks’ JPA,
- Support the integration of both research teams and research activities,
- Ensure interaction among the different DELOS workpackages and activities,
- Assess the quality of work achieved and take appropriate corresponding measures if needed,
- Supervise and review the completion of the milestones and deliverables,
- Manage institutional exchanges with the European Commission representatives,
- Guarantee an efficient communication environment for the management of the network,
Support a reliable communication flow among activities and participants, - Provide expertise to address Intellectual Property Rights issues,
- Promote the network’s visibility: international dissemination, and industrial liaison
- Approve the acquisition of new partners
- Define policies for budget allocation
- Handle all the administrative and financial tasks connected with the activities of the consortium: management of human resources, periodic reports, contract amendments, preparation of cost statements, financial supervision, funding redistribution, planning and monitoring of activities, reporting, administration.
The main bodies supporting the management of the network are three Boards. The Scientific Board The Scientific Board provides a high level supervision of the network’s integration and research activities. It promote and assess the scientific quality of the network, define means to implement all major technical decisions, define funding policies, identify the need for significant changes in the NoE work-plan and oversees their implementation. The Board is composed of the Scientific Coordinator of the network and the Work Package Leaders. The Advisory Board The Advisory Board provides to the Scientific Board an external assessment of the results achieved by the network, acting as a peer-review council; it also provides guidance with respect to the network’s strategic orientations and supports the network’s excellence. The Review Board The Review Board is a group of external experts assisting the European Commission in the yearly review of the work carried out by network over the period concerned. The annual review shall assess in particular the progress of the network and the prospects for achieving its overall objectives, as well as the proposed update of the Joint Program of Activities.
