Alexandros Koulouris is a PhD candidate at the Department of Archive and Library Sciences of Ionian University at Corfu, Greece, on the subject of “Access and availability policies of library digital content”, under the supervision of Professor Sarantos Kapidakis; he is also a member of the Laboratory on Digital Libraries and Electronic Publishing of the above said department.
He is a graduate of the Department of International and European Studies of the Panteion University and of the Department of Library Science of the Technological Educational Institute of Athens. He has worked for four years (1998-2002) as a head librarian at the Department of Special Collections of the Library of Science and Technology of the National Documentation Centre of Greece. Some of his duties were: digitization of dissertations, development of DL services; administration of serial union catalogues, ILL, information retrieval etc.
